It's a little late, but I kept my promise.

My new track "Dear Reason" has been let loose on the internet. It can be heard at www.chrisjuneind.com, purchased on iTunes  or Amazon, and the new video is up on YouTube. 

Again, I wrote the music for "Dear Reason" a few years ago, but I penned the words in tribute for my Granny (most certainly the awesomest person to have ever lived). Topic-wise, the song deals with the realization that people don't live physically forever, but their influence on you can be like immortatlity.

I was going to a video tribute to Granny, but I decided to do something with my dogs. I think she would approve. I love & spoil my dogs as much as my Granny loved & spoiled me. :-)

If the video seems a little jumpy, it's because I shot it with my cellphone & the tripod didn't want to keep it in the same place for each pass. Additionally, iMovie doesn't have any feature to help me correct it. I shot everything in my living room this last Wednesday (you know, the day we had a crapload of bad storms). I was constantly stopping/starting. Luckily, it only took 5.5 takes to get the footage: 1 of me singing, 1 of me singing & playing guitar, 1 of just the guitar solo, and 1 for each of my 3 dogs. I'm really surprised that the dogs did as well as they did with hardly any coaching. I chopped everything together last night.

In other news, Chemcoma released a joint statement last night that our time together is coming to a close. We have at least one more show together (next weekend in Indy) and potentially 2 shows in Lafayette in the coming month-ish. Details for these shows are or will be available at www.chrisjuneind.com. I've had a blast playing/writing/arguing/hanging out with those guys for the last 4.5 years (that's 62 in band years). Apologies if anyone had their heart broken because of the break. We're going to try out some different things.

Finally, thanks to everyone that was in attendance and going berzerk at the Aces Pub show last Saturday. I had a blast!

Greetings!

I had a blast this weekend playing at the Corner Pub in Logansport. Born Under Burden opened the show. Those guys are as killer as ever. It was great to get to hang out with them again & get to crank up the Rhodes amp too! Cheers to all of the new Logansport friends.

Speaking of cranking up the Rhodes amp, it'll be sweating and screaming at Aces Pub in Lafayette on Saturday night (5/21) too. If you haven't made it to a show recently, you should make out for this one. The Aces shows are always extra dirty! Good dirty...

My work with the Taste of Tippecanoe has been getting more frantic as the date approaches (June 18th), but I've still managed to get some IND work done. I think I've cleared my head enough to resume work on the "Dear Reason" mix. Be looking for it on www.ChrisJuneIND.com sometime next week. I'm getting close on having my live tracks done to start playing some new tunes live with the grandpa's guitar. The goal is to start hitting up open mics & booking shows in the next couple of weeks.
