Well, I've been spending some late nights in the studio & I finally feel like I'm really close to having the mix & master of "Dear Reason" done. I've been working on artwork & brainstorming on a video treatment on breaks while getting some ear rest. I think the release is only going to be a couple or few weeks out.
As much fun as I had playing funny songs at my last solo show, I'm going to start building a track after the "Dear Reason" release so I can start playing my serious songs live. It'll just be me, an acoustic guitar, and probably some piano parts playing counter lines in the background. It would be a lot easier if I didn't have to incorporate the electronic element, but some of these songs just don't sound right without the extra parts. Plus, I want to play my guitar solos. :-)
The Frankfort Times ran an article on the 6th about my music endeavors. They gave me space on the bottom 3rd of the front page with the article continuing on another page! The story ran in response to the press release I sent them for the "Settling" release. Unfortunately, they didn't mention the song, Chris June IND, or ChrisJuneIND.com at all and misspelled Chemcoma. Regardless, I'm happy for the attention and maybe next time readers will be given more direction to what I'm doing.
Chemcoma has been hard at work learning some new songs to start mixing into the set over the next month. The songs reflect what we've been known to do cover-wise: Modern Rock songs that we dig and Classic Rock songs that we've updated. We're also anxiously awaiting getting back the "Something to Die for" video.
Thanks for stopping by again this week. Please direct any comments or suggestions through the contact form on ChrisJuneIND.com.
